We have only just started the year and the NEXUS Project has already made it to Swiss National TV! We are very proud to say, that the project in Nepal was featured in the leading economic programme in Switzerland “ECO” on Monday, 6th of February during Prime Time. With this footage, the project has reached thousands of interested viewers and we hope to make a lasting impact with potential investors and supporters. In case you have not seen the video yet, you can check it out online here (in German):
However we have more news. Last Sunday, 5th of February we finally started our first Crowdfunding Campaign on 100days. With this campaign we invite everybody who is interested in the project in Nepal and wants to become a part of it, to support the next NEXUS Center in Kantar with a donation. In total, we require 60’000 CHF to make the next NEXUS Center happen. We are pleased that we have already managed to raise more than 6’000 CHF or 10% of the funds within just a few days. Even WorldVision Switzerland found our project valid enough to support it! Please help us to make this NEXUS Center a reality and support our campaign with a small donation. Find out more here:

Since January, Adrian and Renate Rutishauser from St.Gallen, Switzerland are working on an internship basis in Madagascar to take the already existing Watershops to the next level. Since 2012, WWF Madagascar in collaboration with WWF Switzerland and WECONNEX are operating 3 and soon 5 Watershops in the Southwest of Madagascar. These Watershops are using Solar- and Windpower to desalinate the water from the Ocean to supply the local communities with safe drinking water. The shops are working well and the community appreciate their only source of clean water a lot. Adrian and Renate are now checking whether and how the project can be expanded and eventually be turned into a NEXUS Project Madagascar.
